The emulsion splitting is the process, during which oil is separated from water. This procedure is needed to purify the water either to reuse it or, in case of disposal, to avoid causing contamination of the environment.

This process has to be carefully handled and monitored, otherwise the splitting fails: the exact dose and the reaction time have to be considered. Especially in large sites an automatization of emulsion splitting is a big advantage. With the Gilumat^® ESP BKG Water Solutions gives you a hand in optimizing this process:

• The Gilumat^® ESP controls a mixer and a dosing pump for the organic emulsion splitter addition.
• Measuring of the emulsion‘s turbidity as a function of the organic emulsion splitter‘s dosage.
• Continuous monitoring and calculation of the turbidity‘s curve trace.
• When specific conditions are fulfilled, the dosing of organic emulsion splitter is stopped.
